A24’s raucous revenge thriller Huntington has officially been re-titled How to Make a Killing ahead of its highly anticipated release. Directed by John Patton Ford (Emily the Criminal) and starring Glen Powell (The Running Man, Hit Man), Ed Harris (The Truman Show, Apollo 13), and Margaret Qualley (The Substance, Blue Moon), the film is now set to hit theaters on February 20, 2026, where it will go head-to-head with Psycho Killer (20th Century Studios) and I Can Only Imagine 2 (Lionsgate).
How to Make a Killing is inspired by the 1949 Ealing comedy Kind Hearts and Coronets, starring Alec Guinness in 8 different roles, which remains a revered classic of British cinema. Like its predecessor, How to Make a Killing follows a vengeful character determined to claim his rightful place in an aristocratic family by eliminating the people ahead of him in the line of succession.
The film’s screenplay, originally titled Rothchild, was ranked on the 2014 Black List, which recognizes the best unproduced screenplays. In 2019, Jon S. Baird was attached to direct, with Shia LaBeouf and Mel Gibson initially set to star.
