A Father Confronts his Deepest Fears to Protect his Family in Trailer for Mythological Chiller ‘BAGMAN’

Lionsgate has released the first official trailer for Colm McCarthy‘s (The Girl With All the Gifts, “Peaky Blinders”) unsettling and mysterious mythological chiller, Bagman.

Directed by McCarthy, from a script penned by John Hulme, this chilling new horror film delves into the terrifying realm of urban legends.

For centuries, across a vast array of cultures, parents have instilled a deep sense of fear in their children by warning them of the legendary Bagman – a malevolent, otherworldly entity that stalks the shadows, snatching up innocent young victims and trapping them in his vile, rotting bag – never to be seen or heard from again. Patrick McKee (Sam ClaflinThe Quiet Ones, “Peaky Blinders”) narrowly escaped such an encounter as a boy, which left him with lasting scars throughout his adulthood. Now, the monstrous, mythical being that once tormented Patrick has returned, threatening the safety and well-being of his wife, Karina (Antonia Thomas – “The Good Doctor”), and their young son, Jake (Caréll Rhoden).

Co-starring alongside Claflin, Thomas, and Rhoden are, Sharon D Clarke (“Holby City”, Rocketman), Steven Cree (“Outlander”, Terminator: Dark Fate), William Hope (Aliens, Texas Chainsaw Massacre [2022]), Adelle Leonce (“Fool Me Once”, ), Peter McDonald, Henry Pettigrew (“Guilt”, “Payback”), and Will Davis.

Lionsgate presents Bagman, in association with Media Capital Technologies, a Temple Hill production with the film slated to release exclusively in theaters this coming September 20, 2024.
