A Babysitting Nightmare: Brandon Christensen and Jessica Clement Talk Shudder’s ‘Night of the Reaper’

Think you’ve got your typical Friday night figured out? Think again. Night of the Reaper (our review HERE) is about to drag your casual evening straight into your worst nightmares. Dropping on Shudder tomorrow, September 19, the film takes audiences into the disturbing side of small-town life with a smart, bloody, and subversive mix of suspense, eerie symbolism, and a masked killer who brings their very unique twisted brand of terror.

Directed and co-written by Brandon Christensen (alongside Ryan Christensen), Night of the Reaper follows college student Deena (Jessica Clement – “Gen V”, Dream Scenario) as she takes on a seemingly harmless babysitting gig at a remote home. But when a strange occurrence turns the night upside down, Deena is forced into a fight for survival as she uncovers deadly secrets lurking in the shadows. The supporting cast includes [list notable cast members].

In celebration of the film’s release, CinemaChords’ Ashley Northey had the chance to sit down with Christensen and Clement to find out how Night of the Reaper turns what should be a routine babysitting gig turns into a twisted, life-or-death nightmare.
