20th Century Studios Evoke New Chilling ‘THE FIRST OMEN’ Trailer … All For You

20th Century Studios has evoked a brand-new trailer steeped in gothic atmosphere and satanic dread for Arkasha Stevenson‘s (“Brand New Cherry Flavor”, “Channel Zero”) The First Omen, a chilling prequel to the cult classic horror franchise.

Directed by Stevenson, based on characters created by David Seltzer (The Omen), with a story by Ben Jacoby (Bleed) and a screenplay by Tim Smith & Arkasha Stevenson and Keith Thomas (Firestarter), we’re confident this prequel to The Omen will be get everything right that 2023’s revisitation to another cult classic horror, The Exorcist: Believer got wrong.

Serving as a prequel to 1976’s The Omen, The First Omen follows a young American woman who is sent to Rome to begin a life of service to the church. There, she encounters a darkness that causes her to question her own faith and uncovers a terrifying conspiracy that hopes to bring about the birth of evil incarnate.

The First Omen stars Nell Tiger Free (Settlers, “Servant” and Stevenson’s forthcoming horror movie The Jackal), Tawfeek Barhom (Mary Magdalene), Sonia Braga (Kiss of the Spider Woman), Ralph Ineson (The Northman), and Bill Nighy (Living).

The film is produced by David S. Goyer (Hellraiser) and Keith Levine (The Night House) and executive produced by Tim Smith, Whitney Brown (Rosaline), and Gracie Wheelan and will release exclusively in theaters on April 5th, 2024. Until then we’ll leave you to look at the trailer for this prequel that looks poised to conjure the same sinister spirit that made the original The Omen a genre-defining hit.
