Summon Your Own Demise: Corin Hardy’s Whistle Set to Blow Into Theaters in 2026

The cursed Aztec artifact horror flick from Corin Hardy and Owen Egerton is coming for your soul in 2026.

The first trailer for Whistle, a new supernatural horror film from Corin Hardy (The Nun), has just dropped, offering a chilling glimpse into a tale of ancient Aztec dread.

Penned by Owen Egerton (Blood Fest), Whistle expands on one of his short stories, weaving a narrative that promises a fresh take on the horror genre, evoking comparisons to the psychological suspense of The Ring fused with the fatalistic premise of Final Destination.

The plot revolves around a group of high school students who unwittingly unearth a mysterious artefact — the Aztec Death Whistle. Activating the whistle invites a terrifying encounter with one’s own impending death.

The cast features a blend of emerging talent and established genre actors. Dafne Keen (“His Dark Materials”) leads, supported by Sophie Nélisse (“Yellowjackets”), Sky Yang, Jhaleil Swaby, Ali Skovbye, Percy Hynes White (“Wednesday”), Michelle Fairley (“Game of Thrones”), and Nick Frost (Shaun of the Dead).

A Canadian-Irish co-production, Whistle is produced by David Gross (Room) for No Trace Camping and Macdara Kelleher (The Lobster) for Wild Atlantic Pictures.

The film is set to come for your soul when it hits theaters in 2026.
