Prime Video Drops Action-Comedy Trailer for ‘THE PICKUP,’ Starring Eddie Murphy and Pete Davidson

Prime Video has debuted the official trailer for The Pickup, an upcoming action-comedy that promises to deliver a mix of explosive action and sharp humor, blending two generations of comedic talent. The film, set to premiere globally on Prime Video on August 6, 2025, brings together the seasoned comedic skills of Eddie Murphy and the high-energy charm of Pete Davidson.

Directed by Tim Story (The Blackening, Ride Along), The Pickup follows the chaotic journey of two mismatched armored truck drivers. Russell (Murphy) and Travis (Davidson) are tasked with a routine cash pickup, but their day takes a dangerous turn when they are ambushed by a ruthless criminal gang. Led by the sharp and calculating Zoe (Keke Palmer), the criminals’ plot extends far beyond the stolen cash, pushing the unlikely duo into a series of increasingly perilous situations.

As the chaos intensifies, Russell and Travis must confront not only the criminals but also their own clashing personalities, making for a comedic and action-packed adventure.

Alongside Murphy, Davidson, and Palmer, the film features a star-studded supporting cast, including Eva Longoria, Marshawn Lynch, Joe “Roman Reigns” Anoa’i, Andrew Dice Clay, and Ismael Cruz Córdova.
