Brand-New Bangers: Noteworthy Nods’ Top Tracks of March 2026

noteworthy nods cinemachords

Another month has come and gone, which can only mean one thing: It’s time for another round of Noteworthy Nods – the 20 tracks currently spinning nonstop in our offices. Some we’ve found ourselves, while others made their way onto the list thanks to your recommendations (so please keep them coming right here)!

March’s highlights kick off with Liverpool’s The Kairos, hitting an all-time high with “Punchline Fistfight,” their fiercest and punkiest track yet. It’s destined to become a live mosh-along favorite, if it isn’t already.

Manchester’s Corella also shared their latest single, “Rewire,” this month. This, their maiden release on the FLG label, reveals a notably fiercer Corella and a newfound darker edge. The track draws from the band’s growing frustration at how easily people adopt certain mindsets and issues a call to action to counter this by questioning everything and pushing back against the norm.

Another Manchester quartet to return with a sharper edge is Arkayla with “Run Kid,” their first release since last year’s “Don’t Look for Answers” EP. Leaning into an edgier, indie-punk direction – something they’d previously shied away from – the track suggests something of a reset for the band, who say, “We let go of all expectations about what we should be writing and threw everything we had at it.”

Muse announced their tenth album, The WOW! Signal, sharing the harbinger, “Be With You”, an electronically driven, grandiose anthem combining swelling church organ tones with a futuristic groove. Alternating between restraint and resilience, Matthew Bellamy soars into full-on falsetto as the song ascends in typical Muse-ian operatic heights.

Elsewhere, Daytime TV debuted on Marshall Records with “Pause,” a feral, high-voltage track that channels the breakneck spirit of artists like The Prodigy into a collision of ’90s rave and present-day rage. Frontman Will Irvine describes it as a purge, a song “about finding a way to fully let go and unearth your inner power amongst all the noise“, says frontman Will Irvine.

And these are just a handful of our picks for this month. Whatever your mood, we’re confident you’ll find something to enjoy on the latest Noteworthy Nods playlist to tide you over until we’re back with more at the end of April.

Alongside our weekly track picks, Noteworthy Nods also brings you regular videocast interviews with artists we think are more than worth your time.
