Brand-New Bangers: Noteworthy Nods’ Top Tracks of February 2026

noteworthy nods cinemachords

Another month’s done and dusted, which means it’s time for your latest dose of Noteworthy Nods: 20 singles we’ve had on repeat since they dropped. Some we’ve discovered ourselves, others come straight from your always-welcome recommendations (send us yours here) — keep them coming!

February’s highlights kick off with Bristol rockers Krooked Tongue and their snarler of a single, ‘Blood Shark.’ Ahead of their debut LP I Know A Place (April 24), the trio blend jagged guitars, shifting rhythms, and Oli Rainsford’s raw vocals into a portrait of life on the edge. Eora/Sydney garage-rock outfit Crocodylus return with the gutsy, sax-driven single ‘Attention,’ teasing the direction of their upcoming sophomore effort, Limbo, Please Be Good To Me, produced by Wade Keighran and set to drop on April 24.

Kyle Falconer adds another preview from his forthcoming album Lovely Night of Terror, arriving March 27, with the irresistibly infectious single ‘I’m Lost (You’re Dead),’ featuring singer-songwriter Jamie Webster. Falconer says he can’t wait to perform it live, adding, “sadness is sweet.” HUNNY BUZZ’s ‘Mine!’ has been a fixture in their live set for over a year and is now finally yours. The track holds up just as well offstage, and it’s easy to see why audiences were already singing along well before its official studio release.

Wigan’s Stanleys make a more-than-welcome return with ‘Pass The Time,’ their most potent single yet. Their time away seems to have steered the band into heavier, more adventurous territory, making whatever comes next all the more intriguing. Meanwhile, Yorkshire post-punkers DEADLETTER wrestle with the paranoia and tension of life in a tech-saturated world on ‘Among Us,’ which dropped ahead of their second album, Existence Is Bliss, out today via SO Recordings.

And that’s just a taster of some of this month’s picks. Whatever you’re in the mood for, the Noteworthy Nods playlist is brimming with fresh tracks we hope will keep you ticking over until we’re back at the end of February.

Alongside our weekly track picks, Noteworthy Nods also brings you regular videocast interviews with artists we think are more than worth your time. You can catch every episode on the playlist HERE, featuring everyone from The Enemy and Kula Shaker to Stanleys, The Subways, The Slow Readers Club, The Lottery Winners, The Lilacs, Starsailor, Kyle Falconer, Cast, Shed Seven, Turin Brakes, Embrace, and plenty more.
