New Music Alert: Noteworthy Nods 14

Thursday has come around again and so have we with another batch of bangers that have been brought to our attention either via streaming services or our frequent readers. Again, and as we repeat on a weekly basis, the quantity of quality releases is so vast that we can’t even begin to overstate how greatly appreciated all your recommendations and/or submissions for our weekly “Noteworthy Nods” playlist are.

Highlights from last week included brand-new material from DroolBerriesDead Sea SoulsThe DumesPublic Body, and Shocks (and those “Nods” are available here in case you missed them). And today’s curated cuts include new tunes from the likes of The Public Eye, Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers, Rolling Thunder, Staarks, FloodHounds, James’ Room, and Wet Leg.

As always, our mission here is to shed a bit more light on emerging talent, so we also encourage you to support any of the music you enjoy here. It takes nothing but a few seconds to spread the word on social media, whether it be a tweet, or even just a retweet, and it doesn’t cost a penny but is worth its weight in gold for all the musicians out there. As we said, please don’t stop those suggestions/recommendations coming, and would love to hear them over on  InstagramFacebook, or Twitter. You can also contact me directly on Twitter here. My DM door is always wide open.

So, without further ado, here we go with our 14th Noteworthy Nods Playlist of the year:

Aside from the aforementioned track recommendations, our Noteworthy section on the site also includes weekly candid chats with some of the buzziest artists/bands of the minute. The first ten episodes with StanleysThe KairosThe K’sSienneThe ClauseBlackWatersMichael GallagherFlechettesThe Jack Fletcher Band, lostboy, and Third Lung are all available in the video playlist below together with an additional bonus episode with The Sherlocks which we ran to tie in with the recent release of the band’s third album “World I Understand.”

We can also now announce that this coming Monday’s guest on Noteworthy will be Newcastle-upon-Tyne fuzzy garage rock outfit, Pit Pony which we can’t wait to share with you. And as the Easter break is upon us we might as well let you in on the subsequent episode too as a special treat. We’ll be welcoming Chester three-piece, Peaness onto the show to chat all about their brand new single “irl” and their imminent debut album, “World Full of Worry” which drops on the 6th of May.
