Netflix Launches Official Trailer for Futuristic Action Extravaganza ‘ATLAS’ Starring Jennifer Lopez

Netflix has today debuted the official trailer for what is being dubbed the action packed movie of the year: Brad Peyton‘s (San Andreas, Rampage) latest sci-fi thriller Atlas, starring Jennifer Lopez.

Directed by Peyton, from a script penned by Leo Sardarian (“StartUp”) and Aron Eli Coleite (“Heroes,” “Daybreak”), the film centers on Atlas Shepherd (Jennifer Lopez), a brilliant but misanthropic data analyst with a deep distrust of artificial intelligence, joins a mission to capture a renegade robot with whom she shares a mysterious past. But when plans go awry, her only hope of saving the future of humanity from AI is to trust it.

Lopez’ will be starring alongside Simu Liu (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Barbie), Sterling K. Brown (American Fiction, “This Is Us”), Gregory James Cohan (The VelociPastor), Abraham Popoola (The Marvels, “The Rig”), Lana Parrilla (“The Lincoln Lawyer,” “Why Women Kill”), and Mark Strong (Welcome to the Punch, Kingsman: The Secret Service).

The film is produced by Brad Peyton and Jeff Fierson for ASAP Entertainment; Joby Harold and Tory Tunnell for Safehouse Pictures; Jennifer Lopez, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, and Benny Medina for Nuyorican Productions; and Greg Berlanti and SarahSchechter for Berlanti/Schechter Films. Samson Mücke and Michael Riley McGrath serve as Executive Producers.
