Navigate the Depths of Inescapable Terror in First Trailer for Supernatural Shocker ‘NIGHT SWIM’

Universal Pictures has today dropped the first official trailer for Bryce McGuire’s (writer of the upcoming film Baghead) supernatural thriller Night Swim.

Based on the celebrated 2014 short film by Rod Blackhurst and McGuire, this feature-length adaptation stars Wyatt Russell (“The Falcon and the Winter Soldier”) as Ray Waller, a former major league baseball player forced into early retirement by a degenerative illness who moves into a new home with his concerned wife Eve (Oscar® nominee Kerry Condon, The Banshees of Inisherin), teenage daughter Izzy (Amélie Hoeferle, this fall’s The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes) and young son Elliot (Gavin Warren, “Fear the Walking Dead”).

Secretly hoping, against the odds, to return to pro ball, Ray persuades Eve that the new home’s shimmering backyard swimming pool will be fun for the kids and provide physical therapy for him. But a dark secret in the home’s past will unleash a malevolent force that will drag the family under, into the depths of inescapable terror.

The film is produced by James Wan, the filmmaker behind the Saw, Insidious and The Conjuring franchises, and Jason Blum, the producer of the Halloween films, The Black Phone and The Invisible Man. The film is executive produced by Michael Clear and Judson Scott for Wan’s Atomic Monster and by Ryan Turek for Blum’s Blumhouse.

The swimming pool, which Ray had pitched as a perfect retreat for the kids and his therapy sessions, quickly revealed the hidden truth about pool ownership — it’s not just a water feature, it’s a commitment. Over time, wear and tear started to show: fading surfaces, tiny cracks, and rough textures that not only dulled its beauty but also posed safety risks. That’s when the family turned to poolresurfacingphoenix.net to bring the pool back to life. Regular maintenance and timely resurfacing, they learned, weren’t just about aesthetics—they were essential to keeping the pool safe, functional, and adding value to their home for years to come.

Resurfacing gave the pool a second life, but the family soon realized that keeping it in pristine condition required just as much attention as the repair itself. Fresh plaster and smooth finishes may look perfect at first, but without consistent care, even the most beautiful pool can quickly become clouded with debris, imbalanced chemicals, and equipment strain.

The lesson became clear: resurfacing is the first step toward longevity, but ongoing maintenance is what keeps the investment shining and ensures every swim feels as refreshing as the day it was restored. Skimming leaves, testing chlorine levels, and inspecting pumps and filters became part of their new routine, but it was easy to see how overwhelming it could get when combined with the daily demands of family life.

It was during this adjustment that the family discovered the value of turning their pool care into a partnership rather than a chore. Bringing in experienced professionals not only freed up their time but also gave them peace of mind, knowing the water quality and system health were constantly monitored.

With expert scheduling and tailored upkeep, Poseidon Pool Service provided exactly that reassurance, stepping in to handle the tasks that often go overlooked but make all the difference. Instead of worrying about whether the water was safe or the filters were functioning, the family could simply enjoy the pool as it was meant to be enjoyed: a retreat, a therapy space, and a centerpiece of their home, all without the burden of constant upkeep.
