Musclebound for Christmas: Arnold Schwarzenegger and Alan Ritchson to Star in Festive Comedy ‘THE MAN WITH THE BAG’

The holiday season just got a lot more exciting with the announcement that action superstar Arnold Schwarzenegger is set to star in (and possibly suit up as Santa Claus) in the upcoming festive family comedy The Man With The Bag. If our assumptions are true, this will be the first time Schwarzenegger, whose long list of blockbuster hits includes The Terminator, Total Recall, and Predator, will trade in heavy weaponry for an even heavier sack brimming with gifts.

Schwarzenegger joins Alan Ritchson of “Reacher” fame to star in what promises to be a hilarious twist on the classic Christmas tale: When Santa’s magic bag gets stolen, he turns to a former thief to help him get it back in time for Christmas Eve. Hijinks will surely ensue as Santa, his daughter, misfit elves, and a reformed criminal go on the greatest heist ever to save the holiday.

With veteran director Adam Shankman (Hairspray, The Wedding Planner) at the helm, The Man With The Bag looks to deliver a perfect blend of action, comedy, and holiday cheer for the whole family. Filming is expected to begin later this year, with Amazon MGM Studios backing the project.
