Creature-feature fans are guaranteed an absolute field day with Raúl Cerezo and Fernando González Gómez’ Spanish shocker The Passenger which released through Dark Star Pictures and Bloody Disgusting in theaters on June 3, 2022 and will drop On Demand and DVD this coming June 28.
Written by Luis Sánchez-Polack (Como Caido Del Cielo), the film stars Ramiro Blas (“La Fuga”), Cecilia Suárez (“The House of Flowers”), Paula Gallego (“Cuéntame”) and Cristina Alcázar (Cachorro) as a disparate group of strangers who share a ride only to have their trip interrupted when the driver accidentally runs over a woman walking in the dark of night. On trying to help her, they soon realize that there is something very wrong with her and the last thing they should have done is let her in the van with them.
To celebrate the film’s release CinemaChords’ Howard Gorman sat down with lead actor Ramiro Blas to discuss getting into the shoes of an extremely complex character, the unexpected twists and turns the characters find themselves en route and the kinds of roles that he is attracted to.
