Franka Potente’s Feature Directorial Debut Hits ‘HOME’ This Month

Ahead of this month’s digital release of Franka Potente‘s (The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Supremacy, Run Lola Run) directorial feature debut, Home, Lightbulb Film Distribution have released the poster and trailer for the dramatic thriller.

Directing a screenplay she wrote herself, the film features a sublime cast, headed up by Academy Award Winner Kathy Bates (Misery, Richard Jewell), Jake McLaughlin (Warrior, Savages), and Aisling Franciosi (The Nightingale, The Fall), in which a 40-year-old ex-felon returns home from prison only to find himself forced to confront the demons of his past…

Following buzzy screenings at Rome Film Festival in 2020 and San Francisco International Film Festival in 2021, Home has now received a 24 January digital download release date. Commenting on the release, Peter Thompson, Sales & Acquisitions Director at Lightbulb Film Distribution, said: “Home is the gripping debut feature from Franka Potente. We were blown away by it. Kathy Bates shines – as she always does – and Jake McLaughlin gives a flawless performance as an ex-con seeking a second chance.”

Those eager to catch the film can pre-order it now on Apple TV and, to whet your appetite in the meantime, we’ll leave you with the aforementioned trailer.
