Buckle Up: Insane in the Proverbial Membrane Stunts Aplenty in New ‘THE FALL GUY’ Trailer

Universal Pictures has today debuted a brand-new trailer for The Fall Guy, an explosive action comedy directed by veteran stunt coordinator-turned-director David Leitch (Bullet TrainDeadpool 2). Inspired by the eponymous 1980s hit TV series, the film offers Leitch’s unique perspective as a stunt professional and filmmaker to celebrate the action genre – and the often-overlooked stunt performers who help bring it to life.

Oscar nominee Ryan Gosling stars as Colt Seavers, a grizzled stuntman drawn back into the industry after a sabbatical to focus on both his physical and mental health. His latest job finds him reunited with his ex-girlfriend and blockbuster director Jody Moreno (Emily Blunt) when the production’s star, Tom Ryder (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) mysteriously disappears. Seavers must perform elaborate stunts while trying to rekindle things with Moreno, but as the clues to Ryder’s disappearance mount, Seavers becomes embroiled in a criminal conspiracy that pushes his skills to the limit.

The film also stars Hannah Waddingham (“Ted Lasso”), Winston Duke (Black Panther franchise) and Academy Award® nominee Stephanie Hsu (Everything Everywhere All at Once).

The Fall Guy is produced by Kelly McCormick (Bullet TrainNobodyAtomic Blonde) and David Leitch for their 87North banner, and by Ryan Gosling and by Guymon Casady (“Game of Thrones,” Steve Jobs and executive producer of the upcoming series “Ripley”) for Entertainment 360. The film is executive produced by Drew Pearce, Entertainment 360’s Geoff Shaevitz and the creator of the original “Fall Guy” television series, Glen A. Larson.

The Fall Guy will release in cinemas from May 2, 2024 and in the meanwhile, we’ll leave you with the aforementioned trailer to remind you “who made Redford such a star…”
