British Anthology ‘LORE’: A Tribute to Classic Horror, to Release in UK Through Kaleidoscope and Icon Film

SOME STORIES CAN’T STAY BURIED…

Kaleidoscope Home Entertainment has announced the release of the gripping and gruesome anthology horror film Lore, premiering exclusively on the Icon Film Channel from 26th August.

This thrilling anthology shocker, which premiered at London’s Pigeon Shrine FrightFest 2023, brings together a trio of acclaimed directors. Paying homage to the golden age of the genre while infusing it with a modern edge, the film features segments directed by James Bushe (Cannibals and Carpet Fitters, the stunning Predator: Dark Ages fan film), Patrick Michael Ryder (The Code, Chimera) and Greig Johnson (“Doctor Who”).

Lore also stars a talented ensemble cast including Richard Brake (The Last Stop In Yuma County, 3 From Hell), Ben Crompton (“Game of Thrones”, Kill List), Katie Sheridan (Heretiks, Frankenstein: Legacy), Andrew Lee Potts (“The Witcher”, “Primeval”), Bill Fellows (“Ted Lasso”, A Bird Flew In), Sally Collett (Killers Anonymous, Max Cloud) and Rufus Hound (“Doctor Who”, “Hounded”).

The film follows four young, thrill-seeking friends as they head off on a horror-themed camping trip, led by the strange and eccentric guide Darwin (Brake). One night, gathered around the campfire, Darwin challenges the friends to share their most unsettling and twisted tales. As the friends become increasingly wrapped up in the macabre stories, everything takes an ominous turn as they realize their sinister stories seem to take on a life of their own, seeping into the fabric of their reality in deeply unsettling ways and carrying dire, very real consequences for them all.

Lore will enjoy a staggered release in the UK. It will premiere exclusively on the Icon Film Channel on August 26th, followed by a limited theatrical run in select UK cinemas starting September 27th, and then become available for digital download on October 21st.

You can sign up for a 7-day free Icon Film Channel trial at iconfilmchannel.uk or via the Icon Film Channel on Amazon Prime.
