Last week we delivered absolute bangers from The Lemonheads, Sprints, Wet Leg, The Lathums, and more — and this week’s playlist? Equally stacked. We’re talking a killer mix of fresh jams that are firmly on repeat in our headphones right now. Here’s a sneak peek:

The Royston Club – ‘Cariad’
Swapping their signature raucous indie anthems for hushed acoustic confessions, The Royston Club reveal a strikingly sincere side. Frontman Thom Faithfull’s vocals convey a raw, melancholic vulnerability that recalls the bruised beauty of Radiohead’s ‘Fake Plastic Trees’ and the wistful ache of The Verve’s ‘On Your Own.’ Yet the track is no subdued ballad for long — its slow-burning crescendo promises a crossover anthem in the making.

Pop Will Eat Itself – ‘Disco Misfits’
If you thought they’d lost their edge, think again. PWEI take their signature mash-up of industrial rock, techno loops, and punk chaos and turn it into a sci-fi-fuelled party grenade. Between this and the recent ‘Bruiser’, it’s clear their upcoming album is going to be an absolute riot — expect serious pogoing and sweat-soaked gigs when they hit the road.

Cast – ‘Poison Vine’
This one’s a slow burn that hits hard. Starting with a brooding strum before bursting into a chorus supercharged by none other than London’s First Lady of Soul, P.P. Arnold, who delivers vocals that send a shiver down your spine. It’s got the raw, spiritual urgency of a Stones classic like ‘Gimme Shelter’ but with that unmistakably fresh Cast energy. 2026’s album, Yeah Yeah Yeah can’t come soon enough.

Keyside – ‘If You Don’t Try’
The ultimate ‘f**k it’ anthem to self-doubt. Keyside blend history, heart, and a splash of modern-day grit to tell us all to embrace uncertainty and just bloody try. It’s a pep talk wrapped in a killer tune — perfect for when you need that push to leap into the unknown.

And that’s just a few of this week’s nods. Whether you’re chilling out or getting ready to go out, we’re sure this week’s Noteworthy Nods playlist has something to ensure your weekend’s covered.
