Brand-New Bangers: Noteworthy Nods 2025: Batch #20

Put down your phone, mute your email notifications, and crank your volume to 11—it’s time for Noteworthy Nods, your weekly guide to the freshest, juiciest tracks circulating the office and totally derailing our productivity (in the best possible way).

Last week, we had heaters from the likes of Red Rum Club, Muse, Duncan Lloyd, Miles Kane, and Suede. This week? It’s just as stacked.

Here’s a peek at some of our current highlights currently on heavy rotation:

The Lemonheads – “In The Margin”
New single from the upcoming Love Chant, the band’s first full-length original album in almost two decades, dropping October 24. It’s classic Lemonheads, but with a zesty twist: a “revenge-story spark,” fuzzed-out guitars, and a mix of grunge, punk, and a hint of country. Raw yet tuneful, dripping with nostalgia, and sure to crank up the already impatient buzz for the new LP.

Sprints – “Descartes”
Sprints deliver a blistering slice of modern punk, packing unapologetic social commentary into a wall of furious noise. Raw aggression, sneering confidence, and a serious dose of attitude pour out of this track. The opening line—‘Vanity is the curse of our culture’—taken directly from the book, sets the tone, before the song rips into a larger statement on the pressures artists face to create. The band’s new album, All That Is Over drops this September 26.

The K’s“Me and Your Sister”
The K’s return with the latest track from their highly anticipated sophomore album, Pretty On The Internet (July 25). The song cuts straight to the heart of youthful, cringeworthy self-sabotage: hyping yourself up to talk to a girl, only to choke on your own words and end up rambling nonsense. It’s tongue-in-cheek, painfully relatable, and totally nailed it with the guitar-driven energy we’ve come to love from them. It’s the kind of track you’ll hit repeat on and cringe along with.

Wet Leg – “Davina McCall”
The third preview from Wet Leg’s highly anticipated second album, Moisturizer (out July 11), is a low-key anthem of modern sincerity. “Davina McCall” takes a bold premise—Big Brother meets Shakira—and transforms it into a soft, honest ballad that feels like an unfiltered confession.

The Lathums – “Cobblestones”
“Cobblestones” is pure, jangly punk perfection. Think Johnny Marr’s shimmering guitar melodies, fused with the urgency of The Clash — and you’ve got the driving force behind this sharp new single. It’s got that irresistible blend of ’90s indie and post-punk energy, making it impossible to skip.

Noteworthy Nods is all about shining a light on what’s coming next, not just who’s already on top. Got an artist we need to hear? Don’t hold back—hit us up on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook. Shout out your faves, and help amplify the bands that deserve the spotlight.

Whether you’re in the mood to zone out or crank it up, we’ve got the soundtrack to match your weekend vibes.
