Brace Yourself: The Strangers Are Back to Finish What They Started in Chapter 2

The Strangers are back, and they’re more brutal, relentless, and horrifying than ever before. Today, Lionsgate dropped the first official trailer for The Strangers: Chapter 2, the highly anticipated follow-up to last year’s spine-chilling Chapter 1. Fans of the franchise, which is based on characters created by Bryan Bertino, can expect a darker, bloodier chapter of terror when the film hits theaters on September 26, 2025.

Directed by Renny Harlin, from a script penned by Alan R. Cohen and Alan Freedland, the film ramps up the tension and brutality as the tormentors, who were presumed to have finished their deadly work, head to Venus, Oregon after discovering that Maya (Madelaine Petsch – “Riverdale”) survived their brutal attack. But she’s not out of the woods just yet. With nowhere to run and no one to trust, Maya must fight for survival in the face of a senseless, unceasing pursuit, as The Strangers continue their relentless chase.

Alongside Petsch, The Strangers: Chapter 2 stars Gabriel Basso (Hillbilly Elegy) and Ema Horvath (The Lake).

The film is produced by Courtney Solomon, Mark Canton, Christopher Milburn, Gary Raskin, Alastair Burlingham, and Charlie Dombek.

The Strangers: Chapter 2 is set to release in theaters on September 26, 2025. In the meantime, check out the official trailer below to prepare for the terror ahead.
