Apple TV+ Debuts Trailer For Alternate Reality Sci-Fi Show “Dark Matter” Based on Blake Crouch’s Eponymous Novel

In anticipation of the imminent release, Apple TV+ today unveiled the offiical trailer for the highly-anticipated sci-fi thriller series “Dark Matter” which is sure to captivate audiences when it premieres on the streaming platform this May. Based on Blake Crouch’s bestselling eponymous novel – which has been hailed as one of the best sci-fi novels of the decade – the show promises to be a mind-bending exploration of alternate realities.

When physicist and family man Jason Dessen (Joel Edgerton) is abducted one night while walking home in Chicago, he finds himself in an alternate reality where he encounters the lives he could have lived. As Jason attempts to return to his true family, he embarks on a harrowing journey through a mind-bending labyrinth of alternate realities, facing off against his most terrifying foe – himself. The series also features Academy Award winner Jennifer Connelly, Alice Braga, Jimmi Simpson, Dayo Okeniyi and Oakes Fegley.

Crouch serves as creator, executive producer, showrunner and writer alongside executive producers Matt Tolmach and David Manpearl for Matt Tolmach Productions. Edgerton also serves as executive producer. “Dark Matter” is produced for Apple TV+ by Sony Pictures Television.

The new, nine-episode series will premiere globally on Apple TV+ with the first two episodes on Wednesday, May 8, on Apple TV+, followed by one new episode every Wednesday through June 26, 2024.
