A24’s ‘TALK TO ME’ Trailer Possesses all the Trappings of a Hands-Down Instant Horror Classic

A24 has just dropped he terrifying new trailer for Danny Philippou & Michael Philippou’s breakout feature directorial debut, the horror hit Talk To Me, which is already being dubbed a “hands-down instant horror classic.”

Directed by Danny and Michael Philippou, from a script written by Danny Philippou and Bill Hinzman, and starring Sophie Wilde (“You Don’t Know Me,” “Tom Jones”), Miranda Otto (The Lord of the Rings franchise, Annabelle: Creation), Alexandra Jensen (“The Messenger”, Joe Bird (“First Day”), Otis Dhanji (Aquaman), Zoe Terakes (“Nine Perfect Strangers), Chris Alosio (Next Goal Wins, “Troppo”), Talk To Me centers on a group of friends who discover how to conjure spirits using an embalmed hand. They can’t help becoming hooked on the new thrill, until one of them goes too far and unleashes terrifying supernatural forces.

The film had its preview screening at the 2022 Adelaide Film Festival, followed by its world premiere at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival on 22 January 2023 which spurred a bidding war with Universal Pictures and others. A24 won and acquired the rights to distribute the film in the United States.

Talk To Me releases will receive a theatrical release on July 28, 2023 and you’ve got to hand it to the Philippou’s, if the trailer below is anything to go by, it really does look like we’re in for an instant classic in just over a month from now.
