A24 Announces Online Casting Call for ‘MaXXXine’, the Next Chapter in Ti West’s ‘X’ Franchise

X is certainly marking a spot for itself right now with Pearl releasing this Friday and A24 having confirmed greenlighting MaXXXine, the third entry in Ti West’s horror franchise.

But it doesn’t end there as A24 has also announced an online casting call in which fans will get the chance to audition to be an eXtra in MaXXXine.

If you think you have the ‘X’ factor, then you can apply by reenacting the final standoff between Pearl and Maxine in X. All submissions must be submitted via TikTok, Twitter, or Instagram using the hashtag #XCastingCall by 11:59pm ET on September 28th, 2022.

To give you a helping hand, all potential candidates can get their hands on the script for the final scene online here.

X fans can discover where the nightmare began when Pearl releases in theaters this Friday, September 16. Directed by West, from a script he devised with one of the film’s stars, Mia Goth, Pearl centers around the titular character who, trapped on her family’s isolated farm, must tend to her ailing father under the bitter and overbearing watch of her devout mother. Lusting for a glamorous life like she’s seen in the movies, Pearl’s ambitions, temptations, and repressions all collide, in the stunning, technicolor-inspired origin story of X’s iconic villain.
