Isabelle Fuhrman Doesn’t Back Down in ‘The Novice’ UK Trailer

THE NOVICE, which had its world premiere at last year’s Tribeca Film Festival 2021, where it picked up three awards, including Best Actress for Isabelle Fuhrman and Best American Narrative Feature, was recently acquired by Vertigo Releasing for the U.K. and Ireland for an April 1st release. Today, in anticipation of the film heading to cinemas and digital platforms, a brand new UK trailer has emerged.

For her screenwriting and directorial debut, Lauren Hadaway draws on her first-hand experience as a university rower. Her previous credits in the film industry include sound department editing on Whiplash, Justice League, The Hateful Eight, and Southpaw.

Described by critics as “electrifying” and a film that “puts an explosive spin on the sports drama,” Isabelle Fuhrman (Orphan) stars in this American psychological thriller/drama as Alex Dall, an obsessive college freshman who joins her university’s rowing team and embarks on an extreme physical and psychological journey to make it to the top varsity boat, no matter the cost.

The Novice will release in cinemas and on digital platforms this coming April 1st, 2022 and we’ll leave you with the aforementioned trailer.
