Anthony Mackie wields the shield in the new trailer just dropped today for Marvel Studios‘ Captain America: Brave New World, directed by Julius Onah (The Cloverfield Paradox).
The Falcon, played by Mackie in previous MCU films, was officially entrusted with the iconic Captain America shield at the end of the Disney+ series, “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier,” on Disney+ in 2021.

Starring alongside Mackie and Ford are Danny Ramirez (Top Gun: Maverick, No Exit), Shira Haas (“Bodies”), Xosha Roquemore (“The Mindy Project”), Carl Lumbly (“The Fall of the House of Usher”), with Giancarlo Esposito (“The Mandalorian”, “Breaking Bad”), Liv Tyler (The Incredible Hulk, Ad Astra), and Tim Blake Nelson (Nightmare Alley, “Watchmen”). The film is produced by Kevin Feige and Nate Moore with Louis D’Esposito and Charles Newirth serving as executive producers.
