Timo Tjahjanto to Helm Upcoming Sequel ‘NOBODY 2’, with Bob Odenkirk Set to Reprise Lead Role

Bob Odenkirk (“Breaking Bad”, “Better Call Saul”) will reprise his role as lethal assassin turned suburban dad Hutch Mansell in the upcoming sequel Nobody 2. The film is a follow-up to the acclaimed 2021 action thriller, produced by Universal Pictures and 87North.

Timo Tjahjanto (The Night Comes for Us, Headshot) has been tapped to direct from a script written by Odenkirk (Girlfriend’s Day), Derek Kolstad (John WickNobody), Aaron Rabin (“Jack Ryan”), and Umair Aleem (The Beast, Kate).

In the highly anticipated sequel, the story continues for Hutch Mansell – a seemingly mild-mannered family man whose suppressed past as a lethal government assassin is violently awakened after a traumatic home invasion leads him to draw on his extensive training and lethal expertise to protect his family and seek retribution.

Kelly McCormick and David Leitch are returning to produce through 87North’s first look deal with Universal. Additionally, Bob Odenkirk, Marc Provissiero through Odenkirk Provissiero Entertainment, and Braden Aftergood through Eighty Two Films are also attached to produce.

Overseen for Universal by Executive Vice President of Production Development Jay Polidoro and Director of Development Tony Ducret, the film is slated for an August 15, 2025 release.
