This Feeling By The Sea Festival Returns to Bridlington Spa: A Weekend of Indie-Rock Energy and Unforgettable Performances

This Feeling By The Sea has become an unmissable fixture on the UK festival scene, and 2025 promises to deliver another thrilling weekend of live music, sun-soaked vibes, and exciting new talent. Taking place at the picturesque Bridlington Spa on August 29th-30th, this indie-rock celebration will feature an all-star line-up, with headliners Lottery Winners and STONE confirmed to lead the charge.

Since its inception, This Feeling By The Sea has been more than just a festival—it’s a vital gathering for music lovers and artists alike. Known for its community-focused spirit, the event showcases a blend of established stars and up-and-coming talent, all united by a passion for authentic, guitar-driven music.

Friday: The Lottery Winners Take the Spotlight

The weekend kicks off with a bang on Friday, as Lottery Winners headline the evening. The Wigan borough band has rapidly become one of the UK’s most exciting alternative acts, achieving a #1 spot with their Gold-certified album Anxiety Replacement Therapy and taking the stage in front of over 500,000 people last year. In 2025, they’re set to raise the bar once more with their new album KOKO, due for release on March 21st. Featuring collaborations with legends like Reverend & The Makers, Shed Seven (interview here), Frank Turner, and Chad Kroeger of Nickelback, KOKO promises to push the band to a howl new stratosphere this year, and then some with their scheduled supporting slots with Robbie Williams.

Vocalist and guitarist Thom Rylance shared his excitement about the event: “This Feeling is one of the most important promoters for grassroots music. They give tons of bands their first gig, their first festival, their first headline, their first sellout. Playing this show was a no-brainer. A beautiful location, a great line-up, and a promoter we really respect.”

Joining Lottery Winners on Friday are a host of other incredible artists, including Stanleys (interview here)—another Wigan band making waves in the north-west indie scene—Finn Forster, who has drawn comparisons to Paolo Nutini, and Tom A. Smith, whose talent was recognized by none other than Elton John. Local heroes Sunbeam and the high-energy CRUZ from Sheffield round off the Friday lineup, ensuring the day will be bubbling over with infectious indie anthems.

Saturday: STONE Ignite the Stage

On Saturday night, headliners STONE will take to the stage with their electrifying live performance. Fronted by the charismatic and dynamic Fin Power, STONE has quickly become one of the UK’s most talked-about bands. Known for their wild stage presence and a sound that blends indie-pop anthems, post-punk intensity, and acoustic vulnerability, their debut album Fear Life For A Lifetime has already garnered critical acclaim.

“We’re absolutely buzzing to headline This Feeling By The Sea at Bridlington Spa,” said Fin Power. “We’ve been supported by This Feeling from the very start, so to headline their festival this summer is a massive honour. We’ve never played a spa before, but we’ve been in a couple. Bring a towel and some tanning lotion!”

Saturday will also feature a range of standout performances, including The Lilacs, whose recent sold-out show at Manchester’s O2 Ritz proved their growing fanbase, and The Covasettes, whose indie-pop sound is perfect for a sunny summer day. Keyside, known for their jangly guitars, and Lock-In, preparing for their biggest London show at Dingwalls, will also play, while Eighty Eight Miles brings a touch of soulful, ‘70s-inspired nostalgia to the mix.

For those seeking something more intimate, the Acoustic Stage offers stripped-back performances from Michael Gallagher (interview here), Harriet Rose, Dylan Robert, and PG Ciarletta over the weekend, providing a refreshing contrast to the high-energy main stage sets.

A Festival for the Fans

As always, the festival wouldn’t be complete without the signature vibe of the This Feeling family. Fenners will host the entire weekend, while BBC Introducing’s Jericho Keys and Radio X’s John Kennedy will bring their DJ talents to the stage on Friday and Saturday nights, respectively.

Tickets for This Feeling By The Sea have been in high demand, with early bird weekend passes selling out in mere hours. However, general sale tickets are still available, offering excellent value at just £60 for the full weekend, £35 for day tickets, and £10 for kids. For added convenience, a payment plan is available.

With its unbeatable location, world-class line-up, and a community of music fans that continue to grow year on year, This Feeling By The Sea is undoubtedly one of the most exciting indie festivals of 2025. Don’t miss your chance to be part of this unforgettable weekend of music, memories, and seaside magic.
