It’s that time of the week again when we like to draw attention to some of the biggest and best new releases by way of our “Noteworthy Nods” playlist.
Last week’s highlights included the likes of Coach Party, The Perps, Sunset Collective, Third Lung, Modern Guilt, Open Plan, The Racket, DEADLETTER, Pit Pony, and Panic Shack and you can have a listen to all of those tracks and many others over here if you missed it. Today we kick things off by saying “Ello Ello” to The Flitz, followed by an eclectic assortment of instant astounders from up-and-coming artists including the likes of Serotones, The Clockworks, RATS, Primes, The Katuns, and Osca, and we absolutely had to include brand new tracks from a couple of established bands, Maxïmo Park and Skunk Anansie that both knocked us for ten.
As always, we’re all about getting the word out, especially when it comes to rising bands who appreciate, and deserve, all the support they can get, so you’d be doing them all a big favor by showing your support for the music you’ve been enjoying on our lists by sending them your love on social media.
After all, a tweet, an Instagram post, or even just a retweet doesn’t cost a penny and goes a long way to helping musicians out. We’re also always more than grateful for any suggestions/recommendations our readers might have which we’d love for you to share with us over on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter. You can also contact me directly on Twitter here where my DM door is always open for any recommendations.
Aside from the aforementioned track recommendations, our Noteworthy section on the site also includes weekly candid chats with some of the buzziest artists/bands of the minute. The first series of episodes with Stanleys, The Kairos, The K’s, Sienne, The Clause, BlackWaters, Michael Gallagher, Flechettes, and The Jack Fletcher Band are all available in the video playlist below together with an additional bonus episode with The Sherlocks which we ran to tie in with the recent release of the band’s third album “World I Understand.”
After a brief hiatus, the second batch of interviews returns this Monday, March 28, with a visit from our first guest, lostboy.
