Revivalry’s “Lost” Marks a New Chapter for the Trio: Desert Rock Meets Indie Energy

Revivalry, the dynamic trio from Lincolnshire, is back with their highly anticipated new single, “Lost,” which blends gritty, desert-inspired riffs with an electrifying energy that signals the band’s continued evolution. Comprising Joshua Corfield (bass/vocals), Ben Townsend (guitar/vocals), and Lewis Hubbert (drums), the trio has set its sights on expanding their sonic horizons as they march into 2025.

“Lost” marks a pivotal release for the band, not only as their first single of the year but also as a declaration of their intent to build on their growing momentum. Clocking in at just over three-and-a-half minutes, the track delivers a whirlwind of energy, fusing elements of desert rock with contemporary indie influences. As Revivalry gears up for another festival season and a packed touring schedule, “Lost” serves as the perfect introduction to what’s next, pushing their sound in new, exciting directions.

The band’s journey through 2024 was nothing short of remarkable. One of their standout moments came when they made history at Kendal Calling, becoming the youngest ever band to perform on the festival’s prestigious Main Stage. With “Lost,” Revivalry reflects on that pivotal summer, capturing the youthful exuberance that carried them to the top, but also delving into the inevitable process of growing up. The track showcases the band’s maturation, blending the raw, untamed spirit of their earlier work with a more reflective, self-aware sound.

Drawing influences from musical heavyweights like Rage Against the Machine, Arctic Monkeys, and Supergrass, Revivalry has crafted a sound that is both nostalgic and forward-thinking. The band’s ability to channel these diverse influences while still sounding distinctly their own is a testament to their songwriting prowess and musical versatility.

Bassist and vocalist Corfield offers insight into the themes of “Lost”: “The song is about that fear of looking back on your youth and realising that life didn’t turn out the way you imagined. It’s about the excitement and hopefulness of being young, contrasted with the reality that time moves on and things change. It’s that bittersweet feeling of knowing the best years may already be behind you.”

The accompanying music video, filmed during the band’s Kendal Calling performance, brings the themes of the song to life, offering a visual snapshot of the electrifying energy of their live show and the powerful connection between the band and their growing fanbase.

Now partnered with Stockport-based Cosmic Glue, a forward-thinking record label and creative collective, Revivalry is ready to build on their impressive 2024 and continue their journey into 2025. Alongside “Lost,” the band has more music in the pipeline and will be hitting the road again soon. Their upcoming tour includes a mix of festival performances and headline shows, with stops in Blackpool, Leeds, Manchester, and Derby, plus festival appearances at Kendal Calling and Camper Calling, where they’ll share the stage with fellow rising stars Shambolics.

This release highlights their potential not just to craft their own story, but to make a lasting impact on the UK music scene.
