Apple TV+‘s eight-episode conspiracy thriller series “Prime Target,” is gearing up to premiere globally on January 22, 2025.
Starring Quintessa Swindell (Black Adam, “In Treatment”) and SAG Award winner Leo Woodall (“The White Lotus,” “One Day”). The new drama, created by Steve Thompson (“Sherlock,” “Vienna Blood”), who also serves as an executive producer, is produced for Apple TV+ by New Regency with Ridley Scott’s Scott Free banner. Acclaimed writer and director Brady Hood (“Top Boy,” “Great Expectations”) directed all eight episodes and also serves as executive producer.
The series centers on Edward Brooks (Woodall), a bright young mathematics post-graduate who is on the verge or making a major discovery. Should he succeed in finding a pattern in prime numbers, he will hold the key to every computer in the world. He soon learns that there is an enemy out there who wants to destroy his idea before it even gets off the ground, putting him in the path of Taylah Sanders (Swindell), a female NSA agent, who has been tasked with monitoring and reporting on the mathematician’s behaviour. Together they begin piecing together the troubling conspiracy Edward is at the heart of.
The cast is rounded out by Academy Award nominee and BAFTA Award winner Stephen Rea (The Crying Game), BAFTA Award nominee David Morrissey (“Sherwood,” “The Walking Dead”), Emmy Award winner Martha Plimpton (“The Regime”), BAFTA and Emmy Award winner Sidse Babbett Knudsen (“Borgen”), SAG Award nominee Jason Flemyng (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button), BAFTA Award nominee Harry Lloyd (“Game of Thrones”), Ali Suliman (“Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan,” “Paradise Now”), Fra Fee (Rebel Moon, “Hawkeye”) and Joseph Mydell (The Eternal Daughter).
“Prime Target” will release on Apple TV+ on January 22, 2025, with the first two episodes available immediately and followed by one episode on a weekly basis until the finale on March 5.
