All eyes are on this week’s San Diego Comic-Con and today brings some surprising yet excellent news. Predators the Movie Facebook page has now revealed, in the form of a teaser poster, that something will be announced at this year’s festival in relation to the Predator franchise.
Thie image in the teaser poster features a satellite map of the exact location of the Comic-Con convention centre in San Diego in the instantly recognisable Predator heat vision. The text used to promote this surprise announcement lifts a quote from Sonny Landham‘s character, Billy, in the original 1987 Predator film so what’s it all about? Well it turns out that the original film is getting 3D Blu-ray treatment although no release date has been announced just yet.

UPDATE:
To celebrate the special 3D Blu-ray release Fox will be dedicating a jungle-themed booth to the film and its iconic extra-terrestrial. Not only that but fans will get the chance to buy custom-designed mini-figurines using photographs of participants and 3-D printing. All figurines will then be sent to customers at a later date.
