Noel Gallagher Joins Mantra Of The Cosmos for New Psychedelic Single “Domino Bones (Gets Dangerous)”

Get ready to dive into a kaleidoscopic sonic journey as Mantra Of The Cosmos, the British supergroup featuring some of the biggest names in rock, releases their latest psychedelic single, “Domino Bones (Gets Dangerous).” Dropping on January 19, 2025, the track will be available on vinyl in both red and blue editions, just in time for a special live performance at Liverpool’s iconic Cavern Club.

Led by Zak Starkey, son of Ringo Starr, Mantra Of The Cosmos is quickly becoming the go-to collective for genre-defying sound and star power. Joining Starkey in the band is a lineup that reads like a rock enthusiast’s dream: Shaun Ryder of Happy Mondays on lead vocals, Bez adding his signature percussion, and guitar legend Andy Bell of Ride, Oasis, and Hurricane #1. The newest addition to the lineup is Oasis frontman Noel Gallagher, who lends his voice to “Domino Bones (Gets Dangerous).”

“Domino Bones (Gets Dangerous)” follows the success of the band’s 2023 singles “Gorilla Guerilla” and “X (Wot You Sayin?),” and the band’s debut at Glastonbury Festival last year, where they headlined the Glade Stage. Starkey describes the new track as “Free Bird for Mods,” a blend of bold instrumentation and Gallagher’s unmistakable vocal style that fans are sure to rave about. Starkey played a pivotal role in the track’s creation, handling drums, bass, guitar, and keyboards, while Gallagher and Ryder share vocal duties—Gallagher singing the chorus, Ryder taking on the verses, with Bell delivering an electrifying extended solo.

To celebrate the release, fans will be able to get their hands on the single during the January 19th live gig at the Cavern Club, the historic venue known for its Beatles connection. As part of the celebration, exclusive “Domino Bones (Gets Dangerous)” vinyl, available in both red and blue, will be sold at the gig and through the Cavern Club store. To complete the experience, T-shirts featuring Noel Gallagher will also be available for fans to snap up.

Named after Bez’s first band, the title “Domino Bones” harkens back to the roots of the group’s legacy, as Starkey and his bandmates continue to shape the sound of modern British rock with flair and unpredictability.

“It’s not every day that the greatest songwriter of my generation – not to mention Shaun, the greatest beat poet of our times – sends a tune to me,” says Starkey. “I was in a daze for a bit cos it’s not something you want to f*** up! It came together great – everyone digs it! Noel loves Shaun. He texted me to say ‘Do you know what you’ve got? The British Bob Dylan’ – and he’s not f***ing about because now I’ve witnessed what Shaun does. Noel calls him the ‘king of lyrics’.”

Describing the track, Gallagher added: “Mantra Of The Cosmos is like Dylan, Dali and Ginsberg on a rocketship to the moon to have it with the Clangers.”

Starkey has only visited Liverpool once before to visit his grandparents, and at the Cavern Mantra of the Cosmos will play two sets on January 19th, at 3pm and 8pm, with Bell and Ryder scheduled to DJ in between. The night will be compered by Philip RegenAKA “The Queen Of Scotty Road”, and support will come from Liverpool band Keyside, as well as Chloe Slater for the later set.

Further singles are planned for later on this year.
